I found them good for using overall and also for viewing objects during night time hours. The stabilisation button is good for bringing out details, which is feature that makes it better than other binoculars. I really recommend these binoculars.

These are quality binoculars that are affordably priced. They are somewhat small and moderate in weight. They are great binoculars for watching birds. However, the eyepiece adjustment that is designed for eyeglass wearers is somewhat difficult to handle. It should have been made much simpler.

Most people would assume that 30 millimeter items are not large enough to see when you are looking at the stars. However with 10x magnification, image stabilisation and wonderful graphics, this tends to balance things out.

As a matter of fact, I discovered that the smaller Canon binos always did better than my standard 7×50 Bushnell binoculars when it comes to astronomy. Even with the 10x magnification, there is a reason that they are much better. They can show six degrees of sky and weigh in at only 620 grams. This is considerably less than a majority of 50mm binoculars.

Also, if you want to use these binoculars for viewing during daytime hours, then keep in mind that even when it does not have the stabilisation feature, it will still display just as good as the binoculars that have 10x. This has nothing to do with the size of whatever you are trying to view.

This small Canon does not have the same type of stabilisation as the larger binoculars in this line. The time from when you push the button and the stabilisation kicks in only about two seconds. I have used other 10×30 binoculars that did not quite measure up to this when it comes to a delay. It may be safe to assume that this differs according to each set of binoculars.

However, when the item is finally stabilised, the shakes calm down and things are just as good as with the less affordable binocular sets. Just like with the older models, you have to continue to hold down the button in order for it to work properly.

I have these binoculars and they are utilised a lot more than the other ones that I own. I have asked around and I am not the only one who feels this way. Why does everyone feel this way? It may be due to the fact that the 10×30 binoculars are light, small and easy to use during moonlight and daylight. Even though I travel a lot, they still continue to work just fine. They also happen to be the most affordable binoculars for astronomers who are strapped for cash. They are priced somewhat higher than the 8×25 models that cannot do as much. But, on the other hand, they are almost two hundred dollars less than the 12×36 version.

So, to sum things up, these are great overall. They are wonderful for bird watching and looking at the stars. They are affordable and have characteristics that make them very popular. But, if the cost and weight are not a problem, then there are additional alternatives.

I bought the Canon 10×30 about seven days ago. They have great optics and produce clear images with good stabilisation. I tend to get a little tremor and some of the things that I view are not steady. But, when I push the button all of these problems are no more. Everything is steady and clear. It does not take that long to get things focused. I like these binoculars because of all of these reasons and I am sure that anyone else who tries them will feel the same.

When I purchased these, I thought that the listed IS benefits were exaggerated. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The IS benefit is amazing and these binoculars do everything that the manufacturers say.

Although the Canon binoculars are not cheap, I can honestly say that I have bought more expensive models that always fogged up on me. These on the other hand, provide extremely clear views and have top notch stabilisation.

These binoculars have excellent optics. It is easy to hold down the stabilisation button. This will reduce the amount of vibration that you get and makes it simpler to view objects in detail. They are great for viewing both day and night.
