I would have given these 4 1/2 stars, had the system allowed it. They are excellent value for money, they provide a sharp real 3-D image, and they are excellent on board a vessel at night for navigating into unknown harbours.

The reason I didn’t give these five stars is the focus adjustment mechanism: each eye-piece needs to be adjusted separately, and this takes a valuable time at sea. I much prefer binoculars that allow the left eye-piece to be focused independently of the right (so both eyes are in focus) and then both tubes focussed by a centre wheel with that focus point differential being maintained as you focus on near and far objects. If you are the sole user of the binoculars, then this system is far more convenient than adjusting each eyepiece, each time, for different viewing distances.

Clear viewing and lightweight. Great compass. Looks Good. Comes with flotation strap. Shame you have to pay for the case as an optional extra. Only criticism is the focus adjustment. you have to move your hands up closer to each eye piece to adjust which puts the binoculars out of balance when holding. Also the focus adjustment is a little stiff to turn.

Used them first time when I took the boat out at Xmas and they are excellent. Clear and sharp vision. Am very pleased with them.

  9. Chris Vautin

These are great binoculars. We use them to pick up channel markers, sand banks and other navigation hazards when entering unfamiliar waters. The compass is useful for navigation and they work well in low-light conditions. Outstanding value for money.

Opticaly excellent, l have kahles 8×42 and the top zeiss and these are VERY close at a fraction of the price
The compas looks fine we shall see how they stand up to life on the ocean wave . The delivery was very quick , very pleased with this purchase

Exactly what I needed for my boat, as a sport fisher spotting birds is essential and these binoculars are right for me.

As I’m a “sailing cruiser”, I shopped for binoculars specifically in the mind for those with a low light/night compass function, for the purpose of entering unfamiliar anchorages / bays /ports etc. – in such conditions. I’m very happy with the ability of these binoculars and though I haven’t had them for long enough to know their “ruggedness”, I can recommend them on their price for quality of purpose.

  13. skeeta

Gave as a gift, very happy with product

  14. Ken

Great binoculars for the price, sharp clear images in normal light, amazing images in low light situations, comfortable to use. Only negative would be the bulky flotation strap.

  15. Rick

Great advice on website – illumination of the compass is dim – but happy enough with the purchase .

  16. Meg

Very pleased with the product and the value for money. Excellent result and ease of use could not be better

  17. Derek

Clear, bright view and the scale and compass in-built really useful and easy to use. Not too heavy, an asset to any boatie

  18. Graham

Had a chance to use them on the water, in the night sky and as dawn dusk bird watchers. Lovely glasses. Love them. The only trouble is I would have liked a central focusing wheel. The individual lens focusing is fine for marine and astronomy and I do concede that is the advertised use. Have to get used to it.

  19. Guest

not an expert on binoculars but these worked really well for me.. the zoom is definitely enough and the quality of the product feels good too. I don’t have another pair to compare them to but I really like them. got them last year and use every weekend pretty much
