Come rain, shine, snow or sun, Vortex Diamondback 10X42 Binoculars will allow you to see any subject up close in rich detail. Outfitted with top-of-the-line roof prisms with phase correction, the binoculars have a 6.6-degree viewing angle, allowing you to see a wide area. The application of multiple layers of an anti-reflective coating allows the binoculars to transmit light well for clear viewing in poor lighting conditions. To make the binoculars truly all-weather, they are nitrogen filled, preventing fogging, and fully sealed for waterproofing. Rubber armour is used as an outer covering to decrease the risk of wear and tear in demanding, rough conditions. The rubberised housing is also easy to grip when your hands are wet or cold.

These are great mid range pair. Sharp image and easy to handle.

I would make one improvement…have a buckle on the neck strap so that it is easy to transfer from the chest halter to the strap

  2. Clint (verified owner)

Great viewing and a great sized binocular that fits and feels great in the hands. Yet to properly tested out but so far so good!

  3. George McLachlan (verified owner)

Great quality and value that you won’t worry about knocking them around. Although they seem to be quite solid

      Hi Peter,

Thank you for your comment and review. Please note that all our orders, including yours, are sent directly from the warehouse in Melbourne via Australia Post. We do not drop ship or use any other courier. The reason why we don’t label the outer box is that many of our customers purchase the products as gifts and prefer that the receiver will not know what’s inside the box until opened. Regarding the Vortex Diamondback binoculars, they are indeed manufactured in China. These days any binocular you find under $1,500 is made in China. But this does not reflect on their quality. Optics companies (such as American based Vortex, Bushnell, Barska etc.) make most of their range in China. The only few models still manufactured in Germany or Japan will range from $1000 up to nearly $3000 AUD. Some examples are most Zeiss binoculars (excluding Zeiss Terra ED), Swarovski (the higher-end models) and Leica (over priced!). Within the low and mid-range binoculars by any other manufacturer, you will be looking at spending $150 to $1000 AUD and they can have an excellent image quality. They will be made in China.
